Your Doula Perspective is Valuable

Doulas are a hot topic right now! I’m on a mission to push doulas to the front of the conversations about us. There are so many areas where the doula perspective is valuable. As Henci Goer and others have pointed out, doulas are often seen as disruptors in the medical system. I want to expand that! Yes, our presence helps disrupt the medical gaze and hierarchy, but our voices and views can be helpful in so many places. I’m giving out a FREEBIE for World Doula Week, along with a whole bunch of my doula friends (including Henci Goer btw). My freebie is a list of 5 ways that doulas can be positive disruptors. This blog is my companion list of places that could use a little doula disruption. If you are reading this before 3/29/24, then you should go sign up for ALL the freebies at this link ASAP! Seriously, FREE good stuff from doulas who know because we’ve been here: for doulas, by doulas.
